At Woodpark Montessori & Child Care, we have four programs: Infant (6 weeks-12 months), Transition, Toddler, Preschool, and Kindergarten. Each of these programs is unique to the age of the children attending and varies depending on which classroom they are in.
The following areas of work are systematically implemented according to the young child's learning receptiveness (i.e. practical life activities, sensorial activities, language, math, geography, science, and culture). In our prepared environment, the children learn to respect different abilities and interests of other children and enjoy being together.
When they enter the Preschool room
they continue many of the activities they began in the Toddler room with more structure. They start to interact with letters and numbers in the beginning stages of reading and writing. Finally, when children enter our Kindergarten program they find a unique experience combined with Montessori work and academic work throughout their day.
All of the children at Woodpark interact with the world around them in meaningful ways every day, they are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and build their knowledge independently as they grow.
